| | Biked the 3 miles to school for practice. 1 mile warmup, 5X500m at 800 pace with 6 min. semi-active rest in between. Lactic acid buildup and lack of oxygen combined for a rough workout but the longer rest was good. 400 splits were 59, 59, 60, 59, 59 and 500s were 74, 75, 76, 75, and 74. Really fast workout, glad I was mentally strong enough to keep fighting. Cooled down to 8 with .5 barefoot then biked home

| | 1 mile warmup to the cemetery. Whistles hills with the last set 20, 25, 30 instead of 15, 20, 25. Took the first set to get the legs warmed up but after that I felt really strong. Jake killed it on the last one which got me fired up, I'm pushing on guts alone and he saved some for the last one. Cooled down to the trails by the spinny park and equestrian arena. 10 min on the bike and some arms. Shoutout to Austin for pouring ice on me while I was doing abs haha it was a toasty day

| | Biked to practice, 1 mile warmup and strides. Workout was 20X400. First 5 were at 5K pace with 45 sec rest, hit 73-75. Next 5 were at 2 mile pace with 1 min rest: 67-69. Then 5 at mile pace with 1:30 rest: 66, 66, 65, 65, 67. Last 5 faster than mile pace with 2 min rest: 63, 63, 63, 63, 60. Switched off pacing with Connor which was great. Felt decent and stayed on pace for the most part. Cooled down on the turf to 8, including a 40 yard race that I barely won haha ate breakfast, rolled out, and went biking on Murdock. Ended up going 12 so 15 miles on the bike today

| | Went to Dimple Dell in Sandy and ran on the trails while my dad and sis rode. Pretty sick run, there's some nice hills there. It was still kinda snowy and wet but not too bad, 7:08 average pace. Wish we had some legit trails in Lehi

| | Don't know if it was a 70 min Saturday or not, hit 105 min. Biked 5 and a half miles to a park along the Jordan River Trail. Left my bike there unlocked but it didn't get stolen. Started running on a trail but it was just a little loop so I went through the neighborhood to another trail. Followed that along Utah Lake in Saratoga. Went through another neighborhood and finally found the trail, took it back to the park. First 3 miles were 6:45s and then picked it up after that, 6:30 avg pace for 9 miles. Biked back home

| | Today was a jacket and gloves day but of course I didn't bring either of those. Cramped pretty bad the first 2 miles but felt good after that. Ran to a trail by the dip with Collin and Austin. Ran around some of the trails after they turned around. 10 miles, 6:55 average pace with a couple strides. 10 min bike and some strength training

| | Wasn't expecting to do speed today but that's ok, it was pretty easy. 6X400m at mile pace with a lap recovery jog in between. Splits were 65, 68, 66, 66, 65, 63. It was sick to have a little group of me, Thom and Collin at the front and it felt really controlled. Cool down to 10 with a couple starts. Abs, stretching and roll out session after. Pumped for tomorrow, ready to PR and have some fun.

LP Duel (0.5 Miles) 00:02:02, Place overall: 5 | | 2 mile shakeout run with a couple pickups during lunch. Got to LP and warmed up 2 miles. Gun went off and I got out good, led for the first 300m. Then some of the guys passed me and I just tried to hold on. Ended up finishing right behind Zack in 2:02, 5th place. Good PR, happy with the effort. Cooled down 5 miles through a sick neighborhood then down to art dye park. Fun meet today, enjoyed running and chilling with the LP guys, they are some cool dudes. And freakin fast too so shout out to them. And shout out to Collin for getting a 2 flat

| | Ran up to Skyridge and made a loop out of it. Started out kinda slow but kept picking it up as the run went on, 6:57 average. Got back and watched my sis run the 4X100 at the junior high meet, she's pretty speedy. Talked to Watson for a little, that was fun. Then biked for 15 minutes. Talked to some Skyridge staff people and they told me what I need to do to go there next year. I think I'll try it cuz I can't imagine next year without my homies.

Davis Super Meet (2 Miles) 00:09:35, Place overall: 1 | | Been eating cough drops like candy to keep from coughing up a lung. Got to the meet and did a 2 mile shakeout with Thom. Then watched the guys kill it in the mile. Warmed up 1.75 a little later. Not really nervous, just excited to see what I can do under my sickly condition. Checked in after second calls and almost missed the gun. Had to rip my sweats off and change into spikes as fast as I could, that got the adrenaline going. Gun went off and I settled in around 5th place, right where I wanted. Just chilled for the first mile, hit 72s and 73s. Moved up second mile and got pushed into Colton by a dumb Davis guy in the process. That got me going, but wait it gets better. With 3 laps to go, the back of my shoe gets stepped on (come to find out it was Thom haha) and my heel comes out. I manage to keep it on for that lap but get sick of it so I fling it off and run the last 2 laps with one shoe. Second place going into the last 200 and realize I can catch him with about 50 meters to go. Barely outkick him and get first. Ended up with a 9:35.99, qualifying for state by .07 of a second. Happy with the performance but know I can go faster. Cooled down to 9 on the turf while watching the 4X800, good first invitational

| | 10 and a half at 7:20 avg pace, mostly with Thom and Nugget. Went past my house and down by the farms. Raced a turkey and saw a hawk eat a sheep, not really but it was circling haha. Good times

| | Drove to UVU with my bro to do the workout. Miscommunication so all the other guys were done when we got there. We warmed up 2 miles with Thom then started. 6X400 at mile pace then 3X200 all out, everything with 2:30 rest. First 400 was a little crazy, 61, but all the others were great: 65, 64, 64, 64, 64. 200s were 27, 27, 28 with spikes for the last 2. Hard workout, especially by myself but it was nice that the guys stayed to cheer. Happy with the consistency and mental toughness today. Cooled down to 10
Happy birthday to Asa! He's a great guy

| | 3.5 mile warmup. 9X200 progressively faster with 2 min rest. Splits were 32, 31, 29, 29, 29, 29, 28, 28, 27. Felt decent, it was freezing and the snow started coming down the last half so that was sick. Cooled down to 9 with Thom and Connor, then biked 20 min and rolled out with Austin. Helped at the home tri meet and watched some races. Shout out to Connor for announcing it, great meet everybody. Except for the peeps who puked on the turf, had to pour water on it and it was not fun to look at. So unshoutout to them since apparently that's a thing

| | Ran to North Lake Park. Found some unopened protein chews while we were stopped at a light so we snacked on those for a little. They were weird and nasty, idk why I had 3 haha. Got to the park and ran on this cool trail through the huge weeds to the lake. Went back a different way which was sick. Nice run, didn't really get going until the last half. 20 min on the bike after
