2 mile warmup. A little windy and cold but no rain yet. Got out good and worked to hear the front but went out in a 70 again. Tried to make up time, move up and kick but that didn't work very well. Barely outkicked Justin from Lone Peak to get 4th. Legs felt flat and tired, couldn't really get moving. I also need to recognize when the race is going out slow and take the lead if I need to because I hate races when it comes down to the kick. Started to cool down but they were doing awards so I had to go back and get my medal, then finished to 2 miles. Sat around for a while, got some gold sunglasses, a headband, and a poster all for free from Brooks, that was sick. Then warmed up a mile for the 4X800. I led off and got in an okay position, passed a couple people and ended up in third, 2:03. Felt strong, had a lot of adrenaline before and during. Happy with the time and effort in the rain and after the mile. And our team finished third and got medals! No cool down after just cleaned up and went home.
