Warmup and strides. Pretty nervous but excited too. Gun went off and we went out slow, 70 the first lap. Took the lead and ran a 66, held it and came through the mile in 4:30ish. Someone else took it and I let some people pass and got boxed a little. Got back up there with about 500 to go. Didn’t have the kick the last lap to hang with the top 2 guys. Really happy to get on the podium and run that time off of a slow start. Did a long cool down on some sweet trails with this guy from Washington. This has been an incredible experience and brooks is a really sweet company with some great people. Also loved being in Seattle for a couple days and getting a trip that very few people do. Met a lot of cool dudes and had a lot of fun here. Also, huge congrats to my boys from NAU, Tyler (4th) and Matt (5th) in the 10000 and Andy (4th) in the 5000. What legends
