Got to the course and watched the girls in the large school open race. Shout out to Guppy for winning it and all the girls for getting fourth! Warmed up a mile and a half and then went to the starting line. Introductions and the national anthem and we were off. First mile was around 4:58 and hit the 2 mile in around 10 minutes. Felt pretty good and tried to keep passing people. Got out kicked by Joe right at the end which has really started to get disappointing so that's something I need to work on. Team got 8th which wasn't what we were hoping for but we did what we could. Shout out to Lone Peak for representing our region well and getting third in a very close race. They crushed it and they deserve to go to NXN with the way they've raced this season.

After the race I decided I'm going to be done for the season. It's been a long, hard 6 months of training and my body needs recovery. I want to have a killer track season so until then I'll just be cross training and running some easy miles here and there.
