Supposed to go trail running with my bro tomorrow so I did the workout today. Didn't feel like doing it on the track so I rode my bike to the pit and did it on dirt trails. 2.25 mile warmup, then 3 sets of 400, 200 with 2 min rest. Splits were 66, 31, 64, 31, 63, 32. Didn't really feel any effects of Saturday's race. Cooled down around the pit to 10. Rode home, hit 10 miles on the bike for today

Ran Bonneville Shoreline for the first time. It's a sick trail with some good hills and a nice view of the Draper temple. Was going to go 9 but we got lost so it ended up being 10, around 8 minute average pace. Never want to run on roads again

Long day of driving. Finally got to Connor's aunt's house and ran. Did a sick 8 mile loop with Thom and Papa Heaps with Connor biking alongside. Felt surprisingly good, 7:00 avg pace. Really fun run, there's some nice plants and mountains and stuff around here.

Went to Occidental College and did pre meet on their track. 2 miles, strides, 400s in 63 and 65, starts, got to 4. Thom talked to the coach and he showed us around a little. Really cool school, even tho it's tiny and division III. Did 4 more after to get to 8 for the day

Warmed up 2 miles and checked in. I led off in 4X1600 invitational, then Collin, Thom, Connor. Started pretty good but ended up near the back/middle after 200m. Ran there for a while then started moving up. Kicked it in, around 10th place when I handed off to Collin. Everybody killed it after that, especially Connor who out kicked a guy to get fifth. So we got some pretty sick medals. My split was 4:25, slowest split on the team but I'm really happy with where our team finished. Proud of all the guys, especially Collin who has run huge PR's the last 2 races. Know I could've run harder, I was too conservative at the start and had some left when I finished. Was there mentally just didn't challenge the limits physically. Not the time or performance I was looking for at Arcadia but this race wasn't about me, it was about the team and we killed it together. 4.5 mile cool down.

Warmed up 2.5 miles and checked in. Gun went off and I settled in around the back and let everyone pass until me and Connor were basically in dead last. It was a fast race so I just let the pack carry me. When Connor went, I tried to go with him but couldn't. He ended up in 2nd with a 9:07 so huge shoutout to him! I tried to stay on pace and hold on the last few laps, passed some people and finished in 18th. Got a 9:14 which is a PR. Felt strong and but had stomach problems before, during, and after the race so I need to get that taken care of. Cooled down 4.5 miles and watched the invitational which was sick.

Shoutout to the Heaps for letting me come here with them, what nice people. And shoutout to all those fellow bloggers who raced, you the real MVPs. It was a great week
